MANAGEMENT FOR OUT OF
STATE TALENT
Unlike many management services, we are
willing to provide limited management services to models who are
located outside of the state of California. In requesting
professional management, you have to understand that the range
of services we can provide is more limited if you are not local
to us. Those limitations are reflected in our fees.
We provide services to out of town talent on
two basis. The first is the traditional, percentage based,
fee structure. We charge a reduced fee of only ten (10%)
percent of income earned for talent located outside of the State
of California. The exception is that, if the client books
work in the state of California, our standard, fifteen (15%)
percent rate will apply from that time through the remainder of
the contract. We also offer fee based services for
clients. What fee based means is that we work more like
consultants and charge for the time we actually spend working with you.

When working on a "fee basis," what we do is to
negotiate a fee and then provide specific services to the client on
a one-time basis. As an example, a model or actor might come
to our offices to evaluate their careers and get a meaningful
evaluation of their prospects for success and guidance on how to
proceed in the industry. This can end up with the creation of
a comprehensive "road map" or general guidelines on how to proceed.
We may refer you to agents in your area who can provide you with
booking assistance which is local to you. It can also result
in a recommendation on how to "change course" either to move in
another direction, or quite frankly, how to wind down.
Whether you elect a contingency agreement or fee based, you have to
understand that for us to work with you, you are going to have to
come to visit us in California. It will be your responsibility
to travel to the West Coast at your own expense.
If you are a model, it might be possible for us to help you make
your trip profitable, but the final responsibility for the cost of
travel will be yours. |
